In 2018 I made a promise to you that I would keep Texas RED, and that’s what we did, despite national Democrats funneling more than $78 MILLION to Beto O’Rourke’s unsuccessful Senate campaign.
But the facts don’t lie – the race was close. When all the votes were counted, Beto came within just three points of ousting me from the US Senate.
Beto and national Democrats used their millions to turn out voters who had never voted before, making the race too close for comfort. Out of more than 8.3 million votes cast, I won by a mere 214,921 votes.
Fast forward 4.5 years and Democrats are gearing up once again to take me out. Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden have personally recruited Congressman Colin Allred, a former linebacker, into the race. And for Democrats, the cherry on top is that Mr. Allred already has $2.2 million in his campaign account and can begin running negative ADS against me immediately.
