Tell TX House to Vote “Yes” for Religious Freedom & “No” on Gambling and LGBT Bills |
Tomorrow, the Texas House of Representatives will take up a large number of bills before meeting an important deadline on Thursday. There is a 'good' bill that would protect the religious freedom of attorneys, so Christians won’t have to give up their Biblical beliefs on marriage, life and sexuality in order to practice law, HB 2846 by Representative Briscoe Cain. However, there are three bills that would promote gambling in our state and one LGBT bill.
Tell your member of the Texas House that you want them to support this bill: HB 2846 by Representative Briscoe Cain regarding the religious liberty rights of an applicant or holder of a license to practice law in this state.
Tell your member to vote NO on these bills:
HB 2055 by Representative Venton Jones, LGBT bill
HB 1942 by Representative Jeff Leach, regarding regulating sports betting
HB 2843 by Representative John Kuempel regarding authorizing casino gambling and sports wagering in the state
HJR 155 by Representative Charlie Geren amending the Texas Constitution to allow for gambling in the state and create the Texas Gambling Commission |

Message:
Dear Representative,
I am asking that you vote FOR religious liberty and against bills that promote lifestyle choices that can harm families and children.
I believe that attorneys and all professionals should be free to believe and not have to check their faith or cross at the door to keep a license to practice law. Please vote "YES" on HB 2846
No LGBT bills should pass on the Texas House floor. Please vote “NO” on HB 2055. Voting for this bill will further support efforts by the LGBT agenda.
I also want you to oppose gambling bills. These bills include HB 2843, HJR 155, and HB 1942. Our Texas economy is strong and we don’t need policies that lead to unhealthy behaviors and that could ultimately impact families in a negative way.
Thank you for your service.
Sincerely, |
