John, we're really excited: Hala is now up on the air with her first TV ad of the campaign.

It tells voters how what we're fighting for is personal for Hala — as a child who lost her father to gun violence, and as a mother who struggled without health insurance.

As a member of the House of Delegates, she worked to expand Medicaid, pass gun safety legislation, and defend reproductive freedom. But now, radical Republicans in Richmond want to drag our Commonwealth backward.

Hala is running for State Senate to build on the progress that's been made — and ensure that extremist politicians and interest groups can't enact their dangerous agenda over the will of every-day Virginians.

With exactly six weeks before our primary – and with early voting underway – it's critical that voters in the 33rd District hear Hala's voice and her story. That's why we need to keep our ad on the air through June 20 and share it with as many people as possible.
