Eight people, including three children, are dead and at least seven others wounded after a man with an AR-15-style rifle opened fire at an outlet mall in Allen, TX, on Saturday. This is the second mass shooting with an assault weapon in only one week. We do not have to live like this, John.
Please join us in taking urgent action and calling on Congress to ban weapons of war NOW. >> [[link removed]]
BAN ASSAULT WEAPONS [[link removed]]
John,
Allen, TX, is the most recent community devastated by a mass shooting perpetrated with an AR-15 – a weapon designed to kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. A weapon that belongs on the battlefield.
Assault weapons do not belong in outlet malls
... in grocery stores
... in schools
... in churches
... in offices
Assault weapons do not belong in our communities, period. But our lawmakers still fail to ban these weapons of war.
The inaction of our lawmakers has endorsed continuous mass murder, John. Now, eight people – including three children – are dead because a gunman shot them with an AR-15-style rifle in the second mass shooting with an assault weapon in a week in the state of Texas.
In the wake of yet another devastating tragedy, we are demanding their action to stop this assault on the American people: Please, John, add your name to our urgent call for an assault weapons ban now. >> [[link removed]]

It is unconscionable for our lawmakers to remain idle when people are dying from gun violence every single day. Their inaction is made worse by the fact that they know the answers that can save lives – like banning weapons of war from our streets. If continued tragedies won’t force Congress to do their duty to protect us, then let it be our collective outrage.
I won’t accept this as our country’s reality, John – none of us can. Please, help ensure our lawmakers do not ignore this latest mass shooting: Add your name to our petition to ban assault weapons now. [[link removed]]
Thank you for taking action in the face of tragedy.
