Lauren Underwood For Congress

John —

Sixty-three years ago, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the birth control pill, allowing women across the country to take greater control over their reproductive health.

The FDA’s approval in 1960 was a major milestone in women’s rights, while also paving the way for many other advancements in health care that have been essential to the health and quality of life of our communities.

In the decades since, birth control became more widely available, health care for women improved, abortion was legalized and we experienced a societal shift that allowed women to determine their futures.

Today, as we all know, anti-abortion Republicans are laser focused on undoing the hard-won progress we’ve made on reproductive freedom and turning back the clock on women’s rights.

So, on this anniversary of the FDA’s approval of the birth control pill, we’re asking you to join our urgent call to Congress to put an end to the GOP’s crusade against women’s reproductive rights. John, will you add your name next to Lauren’s?
