John, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported this campaign since we launched last week. I am truly humbled and so appreciative of all that you have done. 

In just our first 36 hours, you helped raise more than $2 million to defeat Ted Cruz. But here's a number I'm even more excited about: So far we have received more than 55,000 donations from grassroots supporters – folks just like you who are fired up to flip Texas blue. We're building a people-powered movement from the ground up, and I couldn't be more proud to have you on board.

This race is not going to be easy – I know that. But each day it becomes more and more clear that Texas, and our country, deserves better than Ted Cruz. We deserve leaders who will fight for us and put us first. That's why I'm giving this race everything I've got.
