Join us on Thursday, May 11 for a livestreamed virtual Senate forum hosted by the CA Working Families Party, featuring Reps. Katie Porter and Barbara Lee.
Hi John,
I'm Jane Kim, State Director of the California Working Families Party.
This Thursday, May 11, at 9pm ET / 6pm PT, I'll be moderating the CA WFP virtual Senate Forum featuring Reps. Katie Porter and Barbara Lee — both of whom are running to be the next U.S. Senator from California and I'd love it if you could join us!
Across California, hundreds of Working Families Party members, supporters, and elected leaders will gather at dozens of in-person watch parties at restaurants, bars, and homes. Watch party attendees will be able to ask the candidates questions about their records, values, and visions for the state.
With the news of Senator Feinstein's retirement, all eyes are on California — and for good reason. It's safe to say that California's progressive future lies in the balance in this Senate race and the priorities raised in this race are likely to shape progressive priorities across the country in 2024.
Last year, more than forty California community, labor, and political groups launched the California Working Families Party. The party has organized chapters composed of individuals, community organizations, and labor unions in six regions of the state: Central Coast/Valley, Inland Empire, Orange County, San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area.
In solidarity,
Jane Kim
California Working Families Party
