Last night, President Trump delivered a State of the Union Address that I can only describe as shameless. He distorted the truth, and used the national stage to spread a message of fear and division.

Then today, Republicans in the Senate -- with the exception of Senator Mitt Romney who stayed true to his oath -- acquitted Trump after a sham trial without any witnesses or documents.

It’s infuriating that the GOP has given Trump a free pass for his attacks on our fundamental rights and our democracy.

Trump and the Republicans claim to support protecting Americans with pre-existing conditions, but the truth is they’re in federal courts right now waging attacks on these very protections.

They’ve promised time and again to negotiate lower drug prices, but they’ve left seniors and hard-working Americans on the hook for sky-rocketing drug prices.

And it's clear that Trump and his Republican allies have NO interest in dealing with climate change. Their plan? Continue polluting at our expense.

It’s time to organize just like we did in 2018, 2012, and 2008. We must redouble our efforts to make sure that Trump just gave his last State of the Union because we are going to vote him out of office in November.

While we’re at it, let’s make sure his Republican enablers are voted out as well for putting their own interests ahead of what’s best for our democracy and the American people.
