VICTORY: 30-Year-Old Kansas Ag-Gag Law Ruled Unconstitutional!
Dear John,

On January 22, 2020, the U.S. District Court in Kansas struck down most of the state's 30-year-old ag-gag law for violating the First Amendment, leaving intact only portions that criminalize causing physical damage to animals and facilities.

The freedom-crushing law, which was enacted in 1990, suppressed free speech by banning investigators from going undercover and filming at factory farms and slaughterhouses.
Help LCA continue fighting for the animals.
DONATE TO LCA
Although this is a monumental victory for animals, there's still more work to be done! Federal courts have struck down similar laws in several states, but many states still have ag-gag laws intact or pending!

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

1. Help stop ag-gag legislation by spreading the word on social media! Follow LCA on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to stay up-to-date with the latest ag-gag news.

2. If you live in a state where an ag-gag law has been passed or an ag-gag bill is pending, contact your legislators and respectfully urge them to repeal the law or oppose the bill! Click here to see if your state has an ag-gag law. Click here to locate your state's lawmakers.

3. Make a donation today to help LCA continue the fight against freedom-crushing ag-gag bills.
