Earlier today, senators voted along party lines to acquit President Trump without hearing from witnesses, ending the impeachment inquiry.

Our democracy is under assault by individuals who are putting political interests over their country. Republicans in Congress are willing to protect Trump at all costs, even if it undermines our core American values.

Let’s be clear — a trial without witnesses is a coverup. At the ballot box in November, we will remember who sold out our democracy to a criminal president.

Senators Susan Collins, Joni Ernst, Martha McSally, and Thom Tillis all voted for acquittal. They are also all on our list to take back the Senate in 2020. And you have the opportunity to step up and do your part in making sure we send them packing.

Though Mitch McConnell denied a fair process in the Senate trial, it was people like you who made Trump’s impeachment possible in the first place. When others doubted the movement to hold Trump accountable, activists like you made history.

It’s times like this that I am so grateful to be a part of a team in politics that’s doing the groundwork to make sure November 3, 2020 serves as a referendum to fix our broken democracy. I’m humbled to be working alongside you.
