Boebert has commited yet another egregious violation of campaign finance law. Our peers at End Citizens United PAC did some digging and uncoverd roughly $60,000 dollars in illegal expenditures from her PAC.

In 2022 Boebert’s PAC spent $6,221.73 on "Voter Contact - GOTV Calls/Texts" to the firm Telephone Town Hall Meeting and the same day her campaign paid a similar amount to Telephone Town Hall Meeting. Following the election Boebert’s PAC paid another $53,760 again to the same Colorado based Telephone consulting firm. That’s a lot of ‘coincidences!’

In late Fall 2022 Lauren Boebert, almost certainly felt her Democratic opponent Adam Frisch hot on her heels and wanted to pour more resources into the race - including resources which from a legal standpoint she did not have.

Frisch only lost to Boebert by 546 votes so Boebert's massive illegal spends almost certainly had an impact.

A reasonable market rate for this kind of outreach is $.13 per contact, the $60,000 Boebert and her team illegally spent could have reached 460,000 people. 460,000 voter contacts is enough to make the 2022 Boebert-Frish vote difference more than 840 times over.

As a PAC that abides by federal election law, we can tell you that there is a reason why there are laws in place to separate PACs and campaigns. These laws force PACs and campaigns to steer clear of the perverse incentives and direct coordination so that wealthy donors are limited in their ability to outright steal American Democracy.

While America's campaign finance law has plenty of room to grow, maintaining the meager standards we do have in place are vital to the health of our democracy. If this blatant disregard and outright contempt of campaign finance law is allowed to continue, we can look forward to dozens of Lauren Boebert wannabes cheating their way into office across the country.
