As the 2020 election season officially kicks off, I want to take a moment to reflect on the state of our race.

We came into this re-election fully aware of the tough fight ahead. With over $1 million spent against us in 2018 by a single DC-based special interest group, we knew this year would bring new challenges.

Just like in 2018, it's going to take a true team effort to win in November -- and because this race is predicted to be one of the most competitive in the country, I'm counting on grassroots supporters like you to help us overcome these challenges.

One of the biggest concerns I hear about on the campaign trail is the unrestricted influence that these groups have on our electoral process. Along with lowering the cost of prescription drugs and protecting the quality of our air and water, these are the types of issues that inspired me to run for public office in the first place.

I'm proud to say that I've spent my time in Congress fighting to put public interest ahead of special interests, and I look forward to continuing to bridge the divide to get results for Utah.
