Breathe Southern California's Breather Easier™ Asthma Management (BEAM) program is a free asthma home remediation program designed to address the needs of individuals age 16+ that live with asthma. The program aims to reduce asthma-related urgent care or ER visits. Health educators will conduct home visits and assessments, provide education to address asthma triggers, and teach you how to use your asthma medication correctly.

The program is available for insured and uninsured Los Angeles County recipients with asthma.
Who is Eligible?
  • Individuals aged 16+ with a confirmed diagnosis of asthma.
  • Individuals living in Los Angeles County.
Requirements:
  • Consent to join the program and obtain a provider's referral or documentation confirming asthma diagnosis.
  • Be willing to conduct three (remote or in-person) visits with a health educator over one year.
  • Conduct four 20-minute surveys (at the program's start, six months, a year, and 24 months later.)
In addition to personalized guidance from a health educator, participants will receive the following:
  • Educational materials
  • Pegasus Beautyrest Pillow
  • Sweat X™ Free and Clear Detergent
  • Rabbit Air™ HEPA air purifier (while supplies last)
  • A $50 gift card for completing each survey

Items will only be provided to participants that complete all requirements and conduct the in-person/virtual visits.
