The next Lapeer County Republican Party Executive Committee regular board meeting is postponed until Thursday May 25, 2023. The meeting will take place at VFW Post 4139 at 128 Daley Road, Lapeer at 7:00 pm.
Many LCRP members have expressed a need for action at the upcoming Lapeer District Library board meeting regarding voting on an appeal for Material’s Reconsideration Requests for Gender Queer, by Maia Kobabe. The meeting will be held Thursday May 18 at 5:30 pm at the Lapeer Center Building at 425 County Center St., Lapeer.
The silent majority needs to show up and speak up in order to keep Gender Queer, as well as all obscene and graphic sexually explicit material, out of the hands of children. Please reach out to friends, neighbors and churches and request a presence, signs, and a willingness to speak at the library meeting.
LCRP members have also expressed an interest in holding a flash mob. A large number of people are needed in order for this action to have the desired effect. A flash mob is planned for Wednesday May 17 at 4:30. If 25 people do not RSVP to [email protected] by May 16th at 7 pm, we will cancel the flash mob. Please RSVP as soon as possible.
