John, help tech research transform lives

It’s an exciting time in the world of diabetes technology research. The rate of progress is staggering and it’s giving us great hope for the future.

Right now, we’re exploring how artificial intelligence could help spot people with diabetes most at risk of foot complications, to make sure they get the best possible care. We’re also testing smart insoles to see if they can help save feet from amputation.

The possibilities for diabetes technology feel limitless, but a lack of funding is a barrier. We’d invest in far more research if we had the funds.

Your donation today could help us do more research into diabetes technology and transform more lives.

As well as researching, we’re campaigning for better access to tech too. And our research is helping persuade the government to make diabetes tech more widely available on the NHS.

A recent study that we funded at the University of Manchester revealed the transformational impact that Flash glucose monitoring - which is a method of detecting or preventing low blood sugar - has on the quality of life for people with type 1 diabetes. The findings drive home the vital role of tech.

Research into diabetes tech is helping create a world where diabetes can do no harm. But we need more funding. Any gift you can give today could help fund research into new diabetes technology, transforming lives, now and in the future.
