To give people a chance to vote on Senate Joint Resolution 2 (SJR 2), it must be passed by the House and Senate by Wednesday, May 10. That's why we sent an action alert to our Ohio-based supporters Monday morning asking them to contact House members and urge their support. As of this writing, thousands of email messages have been delivered, with the number climbing by the minute. If you're an Ohio resident and you haven't yet made your voice heard, click here to send the pre-written message we've prepared for you. It's important for legislators to know we're going to hold them accountable if this resolution fails to pass. Gun grabbers like New York Billionaire Mike Bloomberg bankroll ballot issues that would restrict and seize our constitutional rights. SJR 2 would raise the bar for passing changes to our foundational document to 60%, thereby making it much harder for out of state money to force their values upon Ohio. Without this change, firearms owners are vulnerable to constitutional amendments banning "assault weapons," high-capacity magazines, semi-automatic firearms, and much more.
