Last Friday, the Democracy for the People Act was signed into law! This is a really, really big deal. Bills like this only come around about once every half-century (the last one was in 1973!).

The Democracy for the People Act is a major victory for democracy in Minnesota. This landmark legislation will provide automatic voter registration, allow 16- and 17-year-olds to pre-register to vote, add more transparency to campaign finance rules, penalize intimidation of voters, and make it a crime to interfere with someone trying to register to vote or cast a ballot.

This is a massive step forward, but we still need to be on the offensive against disinformation activists who will try to stop our momentum as the 2024 election approaches.
