Project Frontier

This conceptual design is based upon a preliminary review of entitlement requirements and on unverified and possibly incomplete site and/or building information and is intended merely to assist in exploring how the project might be developed. See links below for further information.

El Dorado County Land Use Proposal

Project Frontier, the proposed warehouse/distribution center on Latrobe Road, is a hot topic on the West Slope. We urge El Dorado County Democrats to get informed about this proposal.

The County Planning Department remains in the process of reviewing the applicants submitted materials and this issue is far from settled.

Project Frontier involves the development of a vacant parcel with two warehouse/distribution buildings (4,776,445 square feet total), several accessory buildings (6,949 square feet total) associated site improvements (parking, landscaping, etc.), and off-site improvements (Latrobe Road widening, signalization of Latrobe Road at Royal Oaks Drive). The proposed project would be constructed immediately south of the El Dorado Hills Business Park at Latrobe Rd. and Royal Oaks Dr. and is consistent with the current Research & Development (R&D) zoning which has existed since the 1980s. Extensive background studies, FAQ's, updated information, etc can be found here:
