Dear Judicial Watch Member,
This afternoon, we will be appearing in
the U.S. District Court of the District of Massachusetts for a hearing in
the civil rights lawsuit that Judicial Watch filed on behalf of Kari
MacRae.
And
we need your help!
Kari MacRae is a high school teacher who was fired in retaliation for
posts on social media that predated her employment at Hanover High
School.
She was fired over several TikTok posts that were made prior to her
hiring at the school. Ms. MacRae, who was also an elected member of the
Bourne School Committee, made the posts in her personal capacity as a
citizen and candidate for public office.
The fact is that Kari was fired in retaliation for exercising
her First Amendment right to speak on issues of public concern, like
Critical Race Theory (CRT) and transgenderism in schools.
Like all Americans, Kari deserves her day in court and the chance to
make her case before a federal grand jury…and
Judicial Watch is in court fighting for her!
Last year, we won a great settlement victory of another client of ours,
in Massachusetts. He was fired from his coaching job in the school district
solely because he publicly objected to Critical Race Theory
propaganda in his daughter’s 7th grade “social
sciences” class and to the failure of the school district to inform
parents of the change in the content of the curriculum.
We are committed to fighting for the First Amendment rights of all
Americans…and while others complain about attacks on conservative
free speech…Judicial Watch acts.
And we act where it counts…through the legal system and the
courts.
But all our efforts…legal research, investigations, and filing
lawsuits…come
with very real price tags attached.
As a non-profit organization, we do not charge our clients like Kari
MacRae for our services. And when we stand up for our clients in court, we
are usually facing the deep pockets of government…whether federal,
state or local.
That’s why I am hopeful you will help us stand and fight for
conservative free speech rights today, and support all our work on
behalf of the rule of law, with
a special contribution today.
Thank you, in advance, for giving us your support
today!
Sincerely,
Thomas Fitton President
