Ever heard the expression, “A hit dog will holler,”?

That’s the GOP right now.

They voted to gut Veterans benefits in their debt ceiling bill. They could’ve carved out protections for Veterans, but they didn’t.

They could’ve voted on a new budget that didn’t cut billions of dollars from the VA and slash millions of outpatient visits, but they didn’t.

They could’ve done the bare minimum to honor our commitment to our Veterans, but they didn't.

And we called them on it. We’ve been leading the charge all week, calling them out on this disgraceful vote. And boy, they ain’t happy.

They’re taking to Twitter, to FOX News, even to the House floor trying to explain away this vote. But what’s done is done, and this isn’t gonna wash off.
