Excessive fines and fees harm Alabamians who are struggling to make ends meet. Suspending someone’s driver’s license when they can’t afford to pay a fine or traffic ticket hurts Alabamians who live paycheck to paycheck. Losing your license can mean losing access to your job, your community and many of your basic needs.
