However, as a nonprofit newsroom, contributions from our readers are an important funding source for us. Donations to the Green Journalism Fund support the hard work of finding and reporting important stories. Reader contributions also allow us to share these stories without a paywall.

Earth Island Journal’s mission is to inform, educate, and inspire action to protect our living world. Because you read the Journal, I know you believe independent journalism is essential to addressing climate change.
