>> HAPPY NATIONAL COACHES WEEK! <<
Hi there,
I’ve been proving people wrong my whole life.
When I was born, doctors told my parents that I would not walk and that I would grow up with limitations to everything I did. But my dad raised me to believe in myself at every step of the way, telling me: “You may not be able to do what everybody does their way, but you will be able to do it your way.”
My dad brings that same encouragement as my Special Olympics Flag Football coach, constantly inspiring me and my teammates to push ourselves and always do our best. Last year, our team even took home a Bronze Medal at the USA Games (and I scored the winning touchdown)!
Special Olympics coaches do so much for athletes like me, so this National Coaches Week, we want to make sure they know how much we appreciate every one of them.
Will you join me in wishing my dad and all the other Special Olympics coaches a very Happy National Coaches Week? It will mean so much to them (and me)!
One of my teammates says it best:
“On the field, Coach Hicks always brings a positive attitude while making the practice fun, but when we need it he has the ability to motivate and get the best out of us.”
Let’s make sure Coach Hicks and all the Special Olympics coaches out there know how much we appreciate them. Add your name to our “Thank a Coach” card today to celebrate National Coaches Week!
Thanks for signing!
