In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to become a DGA member, but first, I want to talk about how Democratic governors across the country are fighting back against far-right attacks on our democracy.

Radical Republicans are hellbent on banning abortion and contraception, suppressing voting rights, taking our country backward, and attacking our very democracy. Just look at Florida, where Ron DeSantis signed an extreme six-week abortion ban – a time at which many women don’t even know they are pregnant yet.

Meanwhile, Democratic governors like me are fighting to protect and expand our fundamental rights and freedoms in states across the country. This year I launched the Reproductive Freedom Alliance – a group of 21 Democratic governors committed to protecting and expanding reproductive freedom in the face of an unprecedented assault.

Protecting fundamental rights like access to a safe and legal abortion was a huge reason voters turned out in droves to elect Democratic governors across the country in 2022. If we’re going to continue to notch historic wins like we did last year in Arizona, Maryland, and Michigan, we must continue delivering for folks across the country.
