Assault weapons are designed for the battlefield. To kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.
Assault weapons do not belong in outlet malls
... in grocery stores
... in schools
... in churches
... in offices
Assault weapons do not belong in our communities, but our lawmakers continuoulsy fail to ban these weapons of war.
The inaction of our lawmakers has endorsed continuous mass murder, John. Now, eight people – including three children – are dead because a gunman shot them with an AR-15-style rifle. The second mass shooting with an assault weapon in a week in the state of Texas.

It is unconscionable for our lawmakers to remain idle when people are dying from gun violence every single day. Their inaction is made worse by the fact that they know the answers that can save lives – like banning weapons of war from our streets.
