Healthcare Support in Mozambique
The Mozambique Initiative supports access to healthcare in rural Mozambican communities through its mobile health clinics. This ministry reduces the distance between the community and its medical care. Closing this gap improves outcomes for pregnant women, children under five and those suffering from easily curable, yet potentially deadly, diseases. Responding to Storms in Trenton
Over the weekend, a line of severe storms caused damage in Trenton, Missouri, including Wesley United Methodist Church which sustained wind damage. Conference Disaster Response Coordinator (CDRC) Scott Burdin has been in touch with Rev. Steve Martin who has assured the Conference that the church was managing the damage through their insurer and did not need assistance at this time. The church structure has already been tarped. There were some other structures in the area that received damage as well.
