I know, I know. It's really early in the month to be worrying about hitting monthly goals, but here's why this is so important:

Daily Kos has three major revenue streams—Ads, list-building (i.e., allowing Democratic campaigns and progressive groups a chance to invite our audience to support them), and community support—that is, donations of a few bucks at a time from readers and activists like you.
The first two of those streams are falling behind their projections in 2023.
Thankfully, readers and activists like you have been EXTREMELY supportive of us through this time
Now, donations make us more than half our income.
But historically we've seen a MAJOR DOWNTURN in donations in the final week of May, thanks to the big holiday weekend.
A big downturn in a year like this—when our other two revenue streams are doing so poorly—could be seriously bad news for us.
