We are in the last weeks of the DC budget process, and important priorities remain unfunded. Top among these: the $20 million that Excluded Workers won last year, which Mayor Bowser is illegally refusing to distribute. Take action now.
We're supporting ?the DC Immigrant Justice Platform in their campaign to ensure that the DC Council:
1. Restores the $20 million dollars allocated to excluded worker cash assistance in the FY23 budget and ensure the funds are disseminated in full
2. Funds the amnesty program in the Office of Tax and Revenue for the Street Vendor Advancement Act in the FY23 Supplemental Budget
3. Urges the Mayor and City Administrator to allocate contingency funds to the Office of Migrant Services to provide emergency shelter to unhoused migrant families
