At
the Liberal convention, it was no surprise that Liberal after Liberal
lined up and threw everything but the kitchen sink at our leader,
Pierre Poilievre.
However, what may surprise you is that the Liberals
quietly passed a new anti-free speech policy.
The
Prime Minister and his party don't like being challenged in the House
of Commons, criticized in newspapers, or for Canadians to freely think
and debate online.
Opposing a government, covering a national security or
ethics scandal, or posting a criticism is a democratic right. Instead
of defending their actions or ideas, these Liberals appear to only
want to silence their critics. This latest attack by Liberals on free
speech would place journalistic freedom under control of the Federal
Government.
That sounds like something straight out of George
Orwell's book "1984".
It’s
no different than when Liberals claim that taking away rifles from
farmers and hunters will stop big city gang violence, these Liberals
use the pretext of 'protecting' Canadians against what they call
'misinformation' to justify their overreach on free speech
online.
Pierre won't stand for it, and neither will
I.
Help
us fight back against this latest Liberal attack on free
speech.
