Team,
Right now, we’re seeing the power of organized labor all across the country. From teachers, to construction workers, to Hollywood writers, people are showing up in droves to fight for fair pay and safe working conditions. For over a century, the American labor movement has fought tirelessly to build a better life for workers, and history proves that when labor organizes, they win.
I’ve been a labor advocate and trade unionist my entire career. I know how important and impactful labor strikes are, and I stand in solidarity with workers fighting for their rights. By engaging in concerted, organized labor action, employees ensure that their employers never take for granted the value they provide every single day they clock in.
Solidarity is a powerful weapon, and striking workers need to know that we have their backs. The Writers’ Guild of America strike has affected TV viewing in households across America, drawing newfound attention to the power of union strikes. When unions succeed, it makes every worker stronger in guaranteeing our power to achieve fair and equitable working conditions.
Will you sign my petition standing in solidarity with striking workers and their efforts to improve pay and working conditions? Organized labor built this country, and they deserve our support when they ask for a fair share of the reward.
