Last week, four members of the so-called Proud Boys — including the former leader of the neo-fascist group — were convicted of seditious conspiracy.

Their crime, of course, was conspiring to keep Donald Trump in the White House — despite his loss in the 2020 election — by leading a violent attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

It is good that people who committed serious crimes related to January 6 are being investigated, prosecuted, and convicted.

But here’s something obvious that also seems at risk of falling by the wayside as we understandably look to move forward as a society:

There would not have been an insurrection, no storming of the Capitol, no seditious conspiracy, without Donald Trump repeatedly lying that the 2020 election was “stolen” from him and without Donald Trump brazenly inciting entities like the Proud Boys into using violence to try to keep him in office.

Donald Trump himself must be held accountable.

Click now and add your name if you agree that Donald Trump must be charged, tried, and convicted for any crimes he committed in his effort to remain in power despite losing the 2020 election.

Thanks for taking action.

For justice,
