John,
Factory farms pollute our water, poison our air, degrade our climate, and damage communities nationwide. Food & Water Watch is fighting for a better, more humane food system that builds rural communities, values workers, respects consumers, and treats animals humanely. A system that rewards resilient and diversified farms.
In 2018, we were the first national organization to call for a ban on factory farms. And, this year, we have an opportunity to see real change in our fight for a better, more humane food system — the Farm System Reform Act. Tell Congress there is a better way forward, starting with the Farm System Reform Act.

The Farm System Reform Act is the bold national approach we need to bring factory farming under control — and begin the necessary transformation to a safe and equitable future for consumers.
BAN FACTORY FARMS

This legislation will:
Place a moratorium on new and expanding large factory farms.
Phase out existing large factory farms by 2040.
Enforce environmental laws on existing factory farms, including holding Big Ag companies responsible for the pollution their animals create.
Support farmers operating factory farms to transition to more sustainable forms of agriculture.
Bring more fairness to agricultural markets through antitrust enforcement.
Can we count on you to join us by taking action today, John? Join the growing movement to ban factory farms by telling your members of Congress to support the Farm System Reform Act!
