Today, the Republican-controlled Senate voted to acquit President Trump from impeachment charges.

I upheld my oath and stood up for the rule of law by voting in favor of both articles of impeachment after President Trump jeopardized our national security for his own personal and political benefit.

Despite clear evidence to support these charges, Senate Republicans voted for acquittal after bypassing a fair trial process -- showing us that they're willing to place partisan priorities over the integrity of our democracy.

Now, it's up to us -- the people -- to not allow this dangerous abuse of power to go unchecked.

This year, we have an opportunity to restore justice and fairness in our political system by working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot who will put our country and the rule of law before blind partisanship.

We can overcome this difficult moment for our country -- but it will take all of us coming together to make it happen.

I hope you'll join me in this work to lead with our values and make our country a better place.

Let's get to work,

Congresswoman Haley Stevens

P.S. As one of the few Democrats representing a district Trump won, voting in favor of impeachment has made me a top target for national Republican groups. They've already spent $900,000 on attack ads in my district. Please make a donation to help us defend this seat → [link removed]
