House Republicans are trying to use their slim majority to throw a wrench in President Biden’s plans. And now, they’re holding the debt ceiling hostage even as the Treasury has announced that the U.S. could default on its debt at the end of this month.

If we don’t pay our national bills on time, that hurts all Americans. Global confidence in the U.S. will decrease, our economy will suffer, and working families across our country will be left footing the bill for Republicans’ obstinance.

For some reason, Kevin McCarthy got it in his head that Americans agree with his game of chicken. So we’re asking people directly. What do you think, John?
