Check out what’s on deck (so far) for this week! |
Hi Friend, We have entered the final month of the Nevada legislative session! We are approaching the next Committee Passage deadline on May 19th, and all bills which are not exempt from deadlines must now pass the committee in the opposite house from which it originated. Before we get into the agenda, here's two more events we have coming up TODAY, Monday, May 8th. First, at 1PM today, Members of AFSCME Local 4041, our state workers union, will be holding a press conference at the Nevada Legislature covering their legislative priorities. They will have a livestream of the event on the AFSCME Local 4041 Facebook Page - make sure to tune in at 1PM and share the livestream to help signal boost these critical updates from our union brothers and sisters! Finally, on Wednesday, May 10th, at 1:30PM in Assembly Commerce and Labor, there will be a bill hearing on SB131, a bill that would codify Governor Sisolak's executive order from last summer that protects abortion providers and out of state patients seeking an abortion in Nevada. We NEED support!
