TODAY @ 6 pm ET: What Role Will Australia Play in U.S.-China Competition?
[link removed]

Australia is solidifying its central role in the United States’ Asia strategy, as the AUKUS pact (AUS-UK-U.S.) goes into higher gear. Canberra has proposed increasing its own defenses against a perceived China threat, while simultaneously reengaging with China after a long gap in a bid to ease economic tensions.

So where does the U.S.-Australia alliance stand? What is the significance of the emerging thaw between China and Australia? Could Australia temper the increasingly fraught relationship between the United States and China?

The discussion will take place on Monday, May 8 at 6 pm ET // Tuesday, May 9 at 8 am Australian Eastern Standard Time.
