With the nation’s eyes tuned in to the Iowa Caucus results — or the lack thereof — and last night’s State of the Union, our campaign has been hard at work.

This President stood and lied throughout his speech last night with such outrageous claims as his “iron-clad pledge” to protect Americans with pre-existing conditions. But we know the truth. His plans will make coverage even more difficult and more expensive for people all across this country.

That’s why we must guarantee healthcare as a human right, and why we devoted last Sunday and Monday to "Health Care as a Right" town halls in Oro Valley and Flagstaff.

Both events featured a panel of experts, including Bill Honigman, MD, Michael J. Keberlein, MD FACP, and Ken Kenegos, RN, to talk about how a new and improved single-payer healthcare program covering all Americans can deliver comprehensive, high quality, more efficient care.

We have an opportunity to ensure every single person in this country has access to quality, affordable health care. But we need representatives in Congress who have the moral courage to fight for real change.

Let's get this done together.
