The Wall Street Journal editorial page has documented how Biden’s top antitrust cop, Lina Kahn, is aiding and abetting foreign regulators that are trying to undermine American companies like Google and Apple. Kahn thinks American tech companies are TOO globally profitable and powerful. She doesn’t want America to be number one.
As an example, Kahn keeps losing her cases in U.S. courts, so she (and other Biden regulators) is working subversively with foreign antitrust zealots to help them enforce a European Union Law called the Digital Markets Act, which is meant to dilute U.S. tech dominance.
She just did it again. Ms. Kahn has encouraged the Brits to stop a $60 billion merger of two American companies: Microsoft and Activision – which owns the wildly successful computer game Call of Duty. In the photo below, Ms. Kahn (far left) is seen conspiring with British regulator Sarah Cardell (far right) – and they aren’t talking about the King’s coronation.
Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick told CNBC that he believes that the FTC conspired with Cardell to stop the planned acquisition – an act of economic hostility against the U.S. If true, Lina Kahn should be fired immediately.
2) Two and a Half Years Too Late, Who Says COVID-19 Is No Longer a Global Health Emergency
Today, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that Covid-19 no longer constitutes a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC, which is pronounced, unironically, “fake”).
Does this mean we can celebrate that “fake” news is over?
3) Speaking of COVID Misinformation: CDC Director Rochelle Walensky Resigns
Among many tragically wrong edicts by Walensky was her declaration that schools should not be opened until kids were vaccinated. At that point about half the country had been open for months, and it was only left-wing enclaves holding out with moving target demands from teachers unions.
Walensky parroted a litany of Biden administration absurdities – including citing known-erroneous pediatric COVID numbers, asserting that masks are 80 percent effective, and supporting vaccine mandates on college kids.
A review by ace COVID data guru Kelley Krohnert and colleagues found that under Walensky's regime, the CDC almost always exaggerated COVID risks and encouraged societal disruption.
UCSF professor Vinay Prasad, one of the paper's coauthors, is exactly right: telling the truth about Walensky should be a litmus test for the next director.
Gee, who saw this coming? The $1.2 million per black resident of California proposed by Gavin Newsom's reparations commission is just not nearly enough.
"This million dollars we're hearing on the news is just inadequate and a further injustice if that's what this task force is going to recommend for Black Americans for 400-plus years and continuing of slavery and injustice that we have been forced to endure. To even throw a million dollars at us is just an injustice."
We hate to disrupt this progressive circus parade, but do these people not even know that California was NOT a slave state?
Does the Biden Administration's mania for electric vehicles know any bounds? Biden now wants to require the U.S. military to have an all-electric vehicle fleet by 2030.
Last week, under questioning from Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa, Biden Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm doubled down in support of an all-electric military by claiming it would reduce reliance on the "volatility of globally-traded fossil fuels.” She has previously called the push for electric vehicles a necessity in order to fight the “existential threat" of climate change.
Could we have ever won World War 2 with these loons running our military?
And as a side point: doesn’t our Secretary of Energy even know that about two-thirds of our electric power comes from fossil fuels? What’s her next trick: putting windmills on top of our tanks and battleships?
