Dear Friends of the Campaign for Disability Employment (CDE),

Greetings from the CDE, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)-funded initiative that showcases supportive, inclusive workplaces for all workers.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we?re pleased the share the following updates and reminders:

DOL Mental Health at Work Initiative

This week, DOL announced its new Mental Health at Work initiative. The effort connects work being done across DOL agencies to increase worker wellbeing, reduce stigma, and promote equitable access to mental health resources and treatment.

As part of this new initiative, DOL developed a new webpage centralizing workplace mental health tools and resources [ [link removed] ]?and the CDE is pleased that its ?Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?? public service announcement (PSA) campaign is among those featured.

To learn more about the Mental Health at Work initiative and its importance to DOL?s mission, read this blog post [ [link removed] ] by Counselor to the Secretary of Labor Tanya Goldman.

The ?Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?? PSA

Speaking of our latest PSA, May is a fitting time for CDE Supporters to promote ?Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?? [ [link removed] ] Launched last year, the PSA has aired more than 1.7 million times on television, radio and online channels nationwide, and now we?re embarking on a renewed push to amplify its message even more.

What can you do to help? Make ?Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?? a part of your organization?s Mental Health Awareness Month activities. Our PSA Outreach Toolkit (attached below)? features a helpful set of ready-to-publish news briefs, sample social media posts and promotional graphics. Specific ideas for spreading the word include the following:

? Link to the PSA on your organization?s website.
? Share/retweet CDE social media posts and/or post your own.
? Publish news briefs or articles about the PSA in your newsletter, eblasts, etc.
? Use the ?Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?? poster [ [link removed] ] and Workplace Guide [ [link removed] ] in your workplace, and encourage your networks to download or order [ [link removed] ] their own.
? Screen the PSA at conferences, events and workplace gatherings.
Thank you in advance for your support of these efforts, this month and every month. Together, we can all do our part to promote positive, supportive workplaces that prioritize mental health.

Sincerely,
The CDE Team
