Border Crisis: As President Biden sends 1,500 troops to the border for “data entry” duty, a coalition of 17 leading conservative groups called for swift passage of the Secure the Border Act.  

• The law would put an end to the Biden border crisis, re-secure the border, and ultimately reduce illegal immigration. 
• “This is the strongest and most consequential border security and enforcement package to date, and it is time to get it across the finish line,” Heritage said in an accompanying statement. Read the letter here.  

Surge: This all comes as the Biden administration is ending the use of Title 42 to deport illegal aliens who pose a public health risk, which is expected to cause a surge in the already unprecedented number of illegal border crossers. 

A-Team: Heritage’s 2025 Presidential Transition Project is now collecting résumés from qualified candidates looking to serve the next administration, with the launch of the Presidential Personnel Database.  

“Together, we are going to bring thousands of vetted, trained conservatives from across the country to Washington,” said John McEntee, who ran the Presidential Personnel Office in the Trump administration, and just joined Project 2025. 

Power Play: The rash of news stories alleging ethical improprieties by conservative Supreme Court justices are part of the Left’s broader strategy to gain control of the court, says senior legal fellow Thomas Jipping.
