Northern Michigan Legislative Picnic
The Michigan House of Representatives Second Amendment Caucus Picnic will take place on Saturday, June 24 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Gaylord. This is the weekend between Father's Day and Independence Day. It's an excellent opportunity to combine with other northern Lower Michigan attractions that weekend such as Hartwick Pines State Park, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, or Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island without the holiday crowds.

The event is being hosted by the Northland Sportsmen's Club located at 1592 Old Alba Road, Gaylord, MI. It helps fill a demand to schedule an annual event in the northern Lower Peninsula similar to September's Upper Peninsula Picnic and southern Michigan's Fall Firearms Festival. The event is open to MCRGO members at no cost. No RSVP is necessary.

Shooting competitions at the event will include Defensive Pistol, a .22 Pistol Bowling Pin Shoot, as well as 50 Yard Rifle (iron sights or scoped). You're welcome to bring your firearms to picnic as well as ammunition, ear and eye protection. A legislative question and answer panel will occur at noon along with a taco bar. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. As always, your friends and family are welcome.
