Dear Friend,
I am delighted to be able to share the New Zealand
Taxpayers’ Union 2023 Annual Review with supporters like you, who
make the work of the Taxpayers’ Union possible.
There are countless lobby groups,
charities, and other organisations – many of which receive taxpayer
funding! – who campaign for increased government spending and higher
taxes on hard-working New Zealanders. The Taxpayers' Union
balances the debate by exposing waste, fighting for more efficient
government spending, promoting the benefits of lower taxes, and
championing more accountable government.
You
can read the report here.
We are hiring: Are you our next
Local Government Campaigns Manager or Fundraising Manager?
👨💼
As the media recently reported, the Mayor
of Auckland has poached our excellent Local Government Campaigns
Manager. It’s a compliment that our staff are going on to positions
where they can make a difference, but with so much going on in local
government, we
are looking for a super star to pick up the mantle of championing
local democracy in the face of an increasingly centralising
Government.
We also need to ensure that our town
halls cannot use the cover of the general election to sneak through
wasteful spending and even more borrowing while the public’s attention
is diverted elsewhere. If you’ve got experience in local government,
economics, politics, communications, or campaigning and want to fight
for ratepayers – this
job could be for you.
We’re
also looking for a Fundraising Manager to help Jordan and the
Board step up the effort this election year so that we can take on
those who want to take New Zealand in a radically left wing direction.
If you’re passionate about the mission of Lower Taxes, Less Waste,
and More Accountability, and have a background in business
development, fundraising, or relationship management, let’s
talk.
Thank you, as always, for your continued
support.
Yours sincerely,
|
Laurence Kubiak Chairman of the
Board New Zealand Taxpayers’
Union
