Last year, supporters like you helped us win a highly competitive toss-up race in Indiana’s 1st Congressional District.

It wasn’t an easy feat. Republican super PACs and dark money donors poured more than $9 million into this district to try to unseat me. Thanks to a strong foundation of resources built on one small-dollar donation at a time, we overcame their attacks and declared victory.

But Republicans are not backing down. Already, the National Republican Congressional Committee has named me a top target and is starting to run ads attacking my record.

If they replace me with a Republican and expand their narrow House majority, critical programs like Medicare and Social Security, support for our veterans, nutrition assistance, and more will be at risk.
