Snohomish County Sheriff Adam Fortney joined us for this
week’s Newsmaker Interview. He shared his thoughts on the failure of the Democrat-controlled legislature to fix the serious public safety
problems they created with activist-inspired laws passed in 2021. Sheriff Fortney also criticized Olympia lawmakers for failing to pass a strict drug
possession law. And he explained his innovative “Lead The Way” program which seeks to steer teenagers away from a criminal
pathway.

Washington Governor Jay Inslee set capitalists cheering on May Day with his announcement not to seek re-election in 2024 – though
it’s a day usually reserved for celebrations by socialists everywhere. That means voters will decide whether the next torch-bearer for our state
will be as hyper-partisan as the outgoing burn-it-all-down Inslee or whether some balance will be returned to the state’s capital.

State Attorney General Bob Ferguson (aka “
Bobbie Sue” according to one attorney who knows him) is rushing to
take advantage of Governor Jay Inslee’s not-unexpected retirement announcement by launching an “exploratory” committee. The problem
is that’s not legal in our state. As the Attorney General, one would expect him to know something about campaign finance laws, especially since
he has been running campaigns for the last 20 years. Unfortunately for us all, Ferguson – and his entire campaign – is really that
incompetent.
