Here in Eastern North Carolina, we love our beautiful community and know we need to keep it clean. That's why this week my office participated in our annual Spring Clean to serve as faithful stewards of the environment and encourage more folks to keep our beautiful community clean.

Every day, a positive story from around our district reminds me just how special this community is. Shirley Jones of Pitt County embodies the perfect example of a terrific story by proving it’s never too late to follow your dreams. At 84 years old, Mrs. Jones will graduate with her GED in just a few short months. Thank you, Mrs. Jones, for serving as an inspiration to everyone in North Carolina and reminding us that every day is an opportunity to learn something new! When we weren't passing groundbreaking bills, we were hard at work in committees. I participated in a House Administration Committee hearing to shed light on the ludicrous policies surrounding election fraud. Our colleagues on the Left want to remove commonsense measures like requiring an ID to vote, while simultaneously keeping thousands of dead people on voter rolls. What is even more troubling than blatant election fraud is Communist China's malicious influence on our college campuses. China has been infiltrating American universities for decades in a coordinated effort to hijack and influence the education of future generations in America. That is why I penned an op-ed last week to shine a much-needed light on this troubling issue. Be sure to read it here!
