Rock the Vote

Dear John,

Last night, Michigan Governor, Gretchen Witmer, delivered the english-language response to the President’s State of the Union address. From her daughter’s public high school in East Lansing, Governor Witmer closed her speech by highlighting the millions of young Americans who will cast their first ballot in the 2020 Presidential election

"...walking across a graduation stage is as important as walking into the voting booth for the first time."

This moment is just one example of the tremendous momentum behind the movement to build the political power of young people. Youth are the change we’ve been waiting for, and it’s critical that they show up to the polls in 2020. For 30 years, Rock the Vote has been at the frontlines of this movement educating, registering, and mobilizing young people so they are empowered to show up at the polls. We know the importance of the youth voice in our democracy, and Rock the Vote will continue our work to ensure it remains the highest priority this election year.

With the New Hampshire primary happening in less than one week, we need the support of donors like you. Your contributions make it possible for us to expand our programing and technology, so we can provide millions of young people with the resources they need to cast an informed ballot.

I am grateful for your ongoing support, and excited for all that we can achieve together.

Sincerely,
Carolyn DeWitt
