Dear MoveOn member,

The New York Times just profiled the Republican lawmakers most in the hot
seat right now, calling them "Republicans to watch."^1

They are 18 House Republicans "who represent districts that President
Biden won in 2020."^2 Some are "Blue-State Republicans"—including six from
New York and two from California—whereas others come from swing districts
with strong Democratic bases.^3

John, we're doing more than watching.

We're turning up the heat on those 18 Republicans.

These Republicans are both politically and electorally vulnerable, and
they are our best path to both getting anything done in the divided
Congress and ending MAGA Republican control of the House next year.

Every single one of these 18 Republicans just voted for Kevin McCarthy's
sham debt ceiling bill that would slash veterans' benefits, cut health
care to millions of Americans, and end programs to fight climate change.^4

The problem is that not many people in their districts have heard about
their votes. And that's where MoveOn comes in: We're getting the word out
through hard-hitting ads on social media, protests in front of their
district offices, and by training MoveOn members in their districts on how
to effectively organize.

We're writing to you now, because the ads have hit a nerve, and we want to
extend the ad campaign, but we've maxed out our budget. Will you help us
extend the ad campaign and provide ongoing training and support to MoveOn
members in these districts to hold the Republicans accountable for as long
as it takes by donating $5 a month?

[ [link removed] ]Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

[ [link removed] ]No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

We call these 18 Republicans the "Complicit Caucus" because while they ran
as moderates in swing districts with strong Democratic bases, they are
voting in lockstep with Marjorie Taylor Greene and the rest of the MAGA
Republican House.

All 18 of these Republicans, in their first 100 days in office, voted to
...

* ban abortion,
* gut House ethics rules and let corrupt congressional colleagues go
unchecked,
* slash funding for the IRS and allow wealthy tax cheats to go
undetected,
* set up the Orwellian-named "Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization
of the Federal Government" to launch a shameless January 6
counter-investigation,
* gut COVID protections,
* and much more.^5

We can't let these 18 Republicans get away with hiding their deeply
unpopular MAGA extremism. But too few people in their districts know about
their votes, and it's up to us to get the word out and organize.

As a grassroots organization, our resources come from you. Will you make a
gift of $5 a month to help us extend our ad campaign—which
is holding these Republicans accountable for voting to slash veterans'
benefits and throw millions off health care—and enable us to keep up the
organizing and media campaigns for as long as it takes?

[ [link removed] ]Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

[ [link removed] ]No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

The New York Times can watch, but we're all action. Join us! We can only
do it together.

Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Voters just defied history and stopped a
MAGA wave of extremism at the polls. But there is more work to do to end
the filibuster, codify abortion rights into law, and defend our freedoms,
our families, and our futures. We can accomplish all this and more, but
only if we work together.

Will you chip in monthly to power our critical work?
