Team,

Last month, Wisconsin voters resoundingly elected Judge Janet Protasiewicz, a fair-minded justice, to the Wisconsin Supreme Court by a commanding margin. It was an incredibly important victory for our democracy – and I couldn’t be more proud that A.G. Holder and the NDRC helped make it possible.

For more than a decade, Republicans have relied on anti-democratic tactics like gerrymandering and voter suppression to hold onto power in Wisconsin. The NDRC has tried to change that, making Wisconsin a top priority.

Since 2018, the NDRC has helped break total Republican control of Wisconsin's government – successfully mobilizing Wisconsin voters and advocates, investing in democracy defenders and champions of fair maps running for office, and supporting fair-minded candidates for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. And now Judge Protasiewicz’s victory broke Republican control of the state’s supreme court for the first time in 15 years.

All of these victories add up. This is what progress and protecting democracy looks like.

I’ve often said that real change happens one person and one community at a time – and we’re seeing that in Wisconsin. By donating to the NDRC today, you can take concrete action to help continue strengthening our democracy nationwide. Will you contribute today?

Team, our mission for a fairer, more just, and more equal America is far from complete.

Too many politicians are trying to erode our democratic norms – and too many voters are still being affected by gerrymandering and attacks on voting rights. That’s why I hope you’ll join me in supporting the NDRC’s work across the country by making a donation today.

We’ve got a lot of work to do, team. But I’ll be right there with you.
