They think we’re idiots.
That must be what Donald Trump and Cory Gardner believe. Why else would they attempt to mislead the public so often?
In his State of the Union Address last night, Trump vowed to preserve coverage for preexisting conditions—a policy he’s spent the last three years trying to repeal. He also promised to protect Medicare and Social Security, two programs he’s determined to gut.
Not to be outdone, Sen. Gardner issued another hollow promise of his own. He pledged to evaluate all the evidence in the impeachment trial, right before he voted to block any documents or witnesses.
This is a charade, just not a very convincing one.
We deserve leaders we can trust.
The good news: we have a candidate we can count on here in Colorado. Andrew Romanoff won bipartisan recognition as one of the most effective legislative leaders in America.
Andrew’s peers across the country awarded him their highest honor, “as the legislative leader who has worked to preserve and build public trust in the institution of the state legislature and whose career embodies the highest principles of leadership—integrity, compassion, vision and courage.” He was the award’s youngest recipient.
Integrity, compassion, vision and courage. We need those qualities in Washington.
