The most ironic part of this all is that House Republicans refuse to budge on raising the debt ceiling now but had absolutely no problems raising the debt limit, with no preconditions, THREE TIMES under Donald Trump.
Considering that roughly one quarter ($7.8 trillion) of our debt was accumulated under Trump’s presidency – and that his and Bush’s obscene tax cuts for the rich are the cause of our debt ballooning out of control – the GOP’s refusal to take accountability is utterly ludicrous.
